Italy is one of the most fashionable countries in the World, and the reason being is because of the Italian Designers who have lived there and exposed there famous technique of designing such beautiful clothes. Here we will give you information on some of the most famous Italian designers, some of them you could already be wearing an item with their name on it!
Giorgio Armani
Giorgio Armani is one of the most popular leading fashion brands all around the world today, and a lot of people now buy his clothes, aftershave and all of his other wonderful creations in shops or online. Armani was born in 1934, in Piacenza, towards the northern side of Italy. He started off his career studying medicine and got a University degree at it as well! From there he got hired from several clothes designer companies and gave out ideas and picked up on others at the same time.
At around 1975 he finally built up his knowledge to start his own company named ‘Giorgio Armani’, to start off with he started publishing his jackets for both men and women and from there his clothes became an extremely popular brand for all the rich. The start of the 20th Century saw a massive boost in profits and with that he started creating bed covers, aftershave, chocolate and even hotels! The man himself has been to and won a number of countless awards from his success, with his company now worth billions.
Prada
I’m sure you have all heard of, or worn some Prada clothing for those who like to push the boat out when shopping. Well, here you will find out how one family created such a successful brand! Miuccia Prada was born in 1950, at the Italian city Milan and studied political science at the main University in the city. It wasn’t until 1971 when Miuccia Prada entered her family business which was trading and selling high quality leather goods. But 20 years later, with the creation of one nylon bag it changed everything and brought a massive recognition into the brand giving in enormous growth in profits and popularity. Prada was and is now the definition of luxury, and desirability in fashion.
The company was originally started by Miuccia’s husband, Patrizio Bertellie, who started the company in 1977 and is now CEO of the Prada Group. He seemed to have such a clever mind where he was able to capture the cultural climate in fashion. This led to designing bags, to other styles of clothing for all ages such as the Miu Miu, Prada Sport, and Prada Beauty which Miuccia Prada manages all by herself. The start of the late 90’s saw a new era for Prada, and they started to purchase other companies such as Azzedine Alaia, Helmut Lang and Church & Co making a rapid expansion in the designer industry.
